$4.48 mill Republic shares traded

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which two advanced, three declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 68,568 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $5,481,717.05.

 

The Composite Index advanced by 0.02 points (0.00%) to close at 1,077.03, while the All T&T Index advanced by 0.04 points (0.00%) to close at 1,684.33. The Cross Listed Index remained at 60.37.

 

 

Republic Bank Ltd was the volume leader with 40,865 shares changing hands for a value of $4,485,642.00, followed by Neal & Massy Holdings with a volume of 15,015 shares being traded for $724,323.45. One Caribbean Media contributed 5,060 shares with a value of $76,203.60, while Williams LJ B added 1,500 shares valued at $1,335.

 

Berger Paints Trinidad enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.10 to end the day at $3.55. Conversely, Neal & Massy Holdings suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.01 to close at $48.24.

 

On the mutual fund market 28,668 shares changed hands for a value of $1,446,310.60. Savinvest India Asia Fund was the most active security, with a volume of 24,668 shares valued at $1,429,510.60. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $57.95. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $4.20. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00.

 

The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company  (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
