Unilever jumps $0.43

Overall market activity resulted from trading in nine securities of which three advanced, two declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 186,013 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,004,987.49.

 

Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 73,822 shares changing hands for a value of $131,853.35, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica with a volume of 47,587 shares being traded for $77,090.94. Neal & Massy Holdings contributed 20,422 shares with a value of $984,961.50, while Guardian Holdings Ltd added 20,000 shares valued at $375,000.00.

 

Unilever Caribbean Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.43 to end the day at $46.53. Conversely, National Commercial Bank Jamaica suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.01 to close at $1.62. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 2,000 shares valued at $8,400. The second tier market did not witness any activity.
