Trinidad Cement leads volume

Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which two advanced, three declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 167,347 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $947,323.25. The Composite Index declined by 0.48 points , or by 0.04 per cent, to close at 1,078.30, while the All T&T Index declined by 0.25 points, or 0.01 per cent, to close at 1,685.97.

 

The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.09 points, or by 0.15 per cent, to close at 60.48. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 114,000 shares changing hands for a value of $199,372.70. GraceKennedy Ltd contributed 10,000 shares with a value of $39,000.

 

Savinvest India Asia Fund enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $58. Conversely, GraceKennedy Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $3.90. Savinvest India Asia Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 929 shares valued at $53,882.

 

 

Savinvest India Asia Fund advanced by $0.05 to end at $58. The second tier market did not witness any activity.
