WITCO makes $3.79 leap

Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which four advanced, two declined and two traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 65,746 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,663,032.01. The Composite Index advanced by 4.53 points (0.42%) to close at 1,080.77, while the All T&T Index advanced by 6.99 points (0.42%) to close at 1,689.92. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.26 points (0.43%) to close at 60.61.

 

Sagicor Financial Corporation was the volume leader with 37,951 shares changing hands for a value of $281,077.26, followed by Scotiabank T&T with a volume of 11,364 shares being traded for $715,932. Guardian Holdings Ltd contributed 6,023 shares with a value of $108,414, while ANSA McAL Ltd added 4,767 shares valued at $310,617.72.

 

The West Indian Tobacco Company enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $3.79 to end the day at $79. Conversely, Sagicor Financial Corporation suffered the days greatest loss, falling $0.04 to close at $7.41. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $4.20. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $58.00.

 

The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd  (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $15.65.
