ANSA McAL climbs $0.02

Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which one advanced, four declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 52,185 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $933,666.12.

The Composite Index declined by 0.23 points, or by 0.02 per cent, to close at 1,080.49, while the All T&T Index declined by 0.10 points, or by 0.01 per cent, to close at 1,689.72. The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.04 points, or by 0.07 per cent, to close at 60.57.

Sagicor Financial Corporation was the volume leader with 32,899 shares changing hands for a value of $243,552.60, followed by National Enterprises Ltd with a volume of 10,000 shares being traded for $154,900. ANSA McAL Ltd contributed 8,118 shares with a value of $529,130.06, while Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd added 750 shares valued at $1,792.50.

ANSA McAL Ltd enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $0.02 to end the day at $65.18. Conversely, GraceKennedy Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.04 to close at $3.75. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $4.20. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $58.

The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
