Overall market activity resulted from trading in 15 securities of which seven advanced, three declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 96,330 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,544,721.21.
The Composite Index advanced by 3.79 points, or 0.35 per cent, to close at 1,084.28, while the All T&T Index advanced by 8.86 points, or 0.52 per cent, to close at 1,698.58. The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.13 points, or 0.21 per cent, to close at 60.44.
Guardian Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 50,760 shares changing hands for a value of $915,557.16, followed by Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd with a volume of 16,460 shares being traded for $39,339.40. Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 11,227 shares with a value of $83,079.80, while One Caribbean Media added 6,000 shares valued at $93,000.
