Investor sells 1.25m OCM shares

Overall market activity resulted from trading in seven securities of which two advanced, one declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 1,470,263 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $19,969,263.64.

 

The Composite Index declined by 0.80 points, or by 0.07 per cent, to close at 1,083.68, while the All T&T Index advanced by 0.02 points (0.00%) to close at 1,699.01. The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.19 points, or by 0.31 per cent, to close at 60.25.

 

 

One Caribbean Media was the volume leader with 1,250,000 shares changing hands for a value of $19,375,000, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers with a volume of 198,937 shares being traded for $129,309.05. Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 13,494 shares with a value of $99,855.60, while Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago added 5,275 shares valued at $342,875.

 

Jamaica Money Market Brokers enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.03 to end the day at $0.65. Conversely, National Commercial Bank Jamaica suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.05 to end the day at $1.55. The mutual fund and second tier markets did not record any activity.
