The in­ter­na­tion­al ac­co­lades be­stowed on lo­cal fi­nan­cial ser­vices group First Cit­i­zens are linked to its com­mit­ment to cus­tomers in every com­mu­ni­ty across T&T, says Robin Lewis, gen­er­al man­ag­er, re­tail and com­mer­cial bank­ing. He was de­liv­er­ing the fea­ture ad­dress on be­half of the com­pa­ny's chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Lar­ry Nath, at the branch's 30th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tion on Thurs­day.

Lewis said the San­gre Grande branch had played an in­te­gral role in con­tribut­ing to the achieve­ments of the First Cit­i­zens Group, hav­ing copped the award for Branch of the Year back in 2002.

"With the sol­id con­tri­bu­tion from this branch, the First Cit­i­zens Group has emerged as a dy­nam­ic fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tion, con­tin­u­ous­ly ob­tain­ing in­ter­na­tion­al ac­co­lades and na­tion­al recog­ni­tion for suc­cess. Last year, we were named Bank of the Year 2012 by the renowned Banker Mag­a­zine. This is the third time we were award­ed this ti­tle; since the first in 2005, fol­lowed by the his­toric three Bank of the Year awards in 2009," he said

Lewis said with a com­bi­na­tion of con­sis­tent prof­itabil­i­ty, a com­mit­ment to ser­vice ex­cel­lence, in­no­v­a­tive­ness and sound cor­po­rate gov­er­nance, cus­tomers could re­main con­fi­dent that they made the right choice in First Cit­i­zens.
