Witco shares gain $0.29

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities, of which seven advanced, one declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 342,605 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $2,540,682.43. GraceKennedy Ltd was the volume leader with 152,832 shares changing hands for a value of $611,328.00, followed by Trinidad Cement Ltd with a volume of 110,194 shares being traded for $154,271.60.

 

 

Agostini’s Ltd contributed 38,382 shares with a value of $637,141.20, while Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd added 10,445 shares valued at $6,789.25. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.29 to end the day at $88.00. Conversely, Clico investment Fund suffered the day's sole decline, falling $0.21 to end the day at $22.25.
