Overall market activity resulted from trading in five securities, of which two advanced, zero declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 81,301 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $235,529.51.
Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 75,000 shares changing hands for a value of $105,000.00, followed by Guardian Holdings Ltd with a volume of 6,101 shares being traded for $112,919.51. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd contributed 200 shares with a value of $17,610.00 .
The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.04 to end the day at $88.05. On the Mutual Fund Market 14,600 shares changed hands for a value of $275,863.94. Clico Investment Fund was the most active security, with a volume of 12,600 shares valued at $267,863.94. Clico Investment Fund advanced by $0.01 to end at $21.26.
Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $4.00. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $15.65.
