Jaric Environment, Safety and Health Services Limited recently distributed equipment to properties that are part of the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Project in Tobago. The properties include the ANR Robinson International Airport, Argyle Waterfall and Eco Lodge and Adventure Nature Resort and Farms.
The distribution was part of the European Union Delegation's ongoing effort at providing support for non-state environmental management sectors. The equipment used by organisations will help reduce their carbon footprints.A representative from the European Union Delegation of T&T, Solomon Loannou, said the initiative will boost the economy of the island, since energy will be conserved.
Jaric uses ISO 14001 international guidelines and provides organisations with a framework that allows them to monitor and improve their environmental performance. The company also assesses the activities, products, processes and services of an organizations that might affect the environment.Jaric received a grant of $115,000 Euros for operation and equipment.The distribution took place at the Edoo's Commercial Complex in Lowlands, Tobago.
