Unilever enjoys largest gain
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which five advanced, three declined and five traded firm.
Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 587,925 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $4,090,673.71. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited was the volume leader with 270,570 shares changing hands for a value of $140,562.38, followed by Sagicor Financial Corporation with a volume of 183,000 shares being traded for $1,143,750. Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited contributed 70,000 shares with a value of $126,000, while Neal & Massy Holdings Limited added 27,600 shares valued at $1,628,400.
Unilever Caribbean Limited enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.10 to end the day at $50.12. Conversely, Neal & Massy Holdings Limited suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $1 to close at $59. On the Mutual Fund Market 32,440 shares changed hands for a value of $639,398.40. Clico Investment Fund was the most active security, with a volume of 30,040 shares valued at $631,238.40. It declined by $0.03 to end at $21.01.
