Witco gains $2.39

Overall market activity resulted from trading in seven securities of which five advanced, none declined and two traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 152,445 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,435,138.31.

 

 

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited was the volume leader with 100,000 shares changing hands for a value of $120,000, followed by Neal & Massy Holdings Limited with a volume of 23,753 shares being traded for $1,401,427.00. Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 17,799 shares with a value of $111,243.75, while The West Indian Tobacco Company Limited (Witco) added 5,756 shares valued at $532,472.56.

 

Witco enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $2.39 to end the day at $92.51. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 50,740 shares valued at $1,074,556.00. Clico Investment Fund advanced by $0.15 to end at $21.18.
