Energy company Repsol T&T has partnered with the Heroes Foundation to spread the message of social integration of the disabled to secondary school students.Heroes of the Differently-Abled, will be a pilot programme in 11 secondary schools where The Heroes Foundations has been actively developing their Youth Development Programme's (YDP) since 2006. It is supported by the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Child Development.
The main objective is to promote equal access to quality education for persons with disabilities. Repsol is supporting the one-year pilot project with a donation of $120,000 to The Heroes Foundation. Support for the project is also coming from NGOs such as the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) and Caribbean Kids and Families Therapy Organisation (CKFTO).
