Scotiabank has earned the title of Best Emerging Market Bank 2013 in T&T by Global Finance magazine. This is the fourth consecutive year the bank has captured this accolade. In an exclusive survey to be published in its May issue, Global Finance has selected the winners in 25 countries within the Latin America region.

Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative products. “Each region and individual country presents unique challenges for banks and their customers, especially under the difficult conditions global financial markets continues to face,” said Joseph Giarraputo, publisher of Global Finance.

“For this reason, customers must depend on excellence in execution from their banking partners. These are the banks that are providing best-in-class solutions for these distinctive markets.” Anya Schnoor, Managing Director, Scotiabank T&T Limited said: “It is extremely rewarding to us here at Scotiabank T&T to learn that the hard work and dedication of our employees, combined with the loyalty of our customers has resulted in the award of such an outstanding honour.

“This award is truly a testament of the Bank’s commitment to knowing and satisfying our stakeholders’ needs,” she said.
