Trade Min­is­ter Vas­ant Bharath has told the new­ly ap­point­ed board of TT Free Zones Lim­it­ed of the im­por­tance of re­fo­cus­ing and re-think­ing the func­tion of the agency and to de­vise new strate­gies to sell T&T to the rest of the world.

TT Free Zones is charged with pro­vid­ing in­cen­tives for for­eign busi­ness­es to in­vest in this coun­try. "There must be co­or­di­na­tion amongst the agen­cies re­lat­ed to in­vest­ment such as in­vesTT, ex­porTT and TTIFC; it can­not be busi­ness as usu­al, but busi­ness un­usu­al. As a coun­try, we must fo­cus on what we are good at and build a com­pet­i­tive ad­van­tage," Bharath said.

The TT Free Zones Board mem­bers are Kel­ly Bainey–Chair­man; William Gaf­far, Neville Blake, Shane Mo­hammed, Prem­nath Boodoos­ingh, Rasheed Ali, Mar­cus Woods and Priya Gan­ness-Nan­ton.
