Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is expected to formally open the Trade and Investment Convention (TIC) 2013, the region's biggest business-to-business event at the Hyatt Regency hotel on Wednesday. She will deliver the feature address to an audience comprising major local manufacturers, members of the business community and members of the diplomatic corps.
More than 30 countries will showcase goods and services where thousands of products will be on show.About 3,000 local and international business buyers are expected to visit TIC 2013, which will run from Wednesday to Saturday, where they will find new suppliers and business opportunities from exhibitors.
International delegations and trade missions will attend from the Argentine Republic, Brazil, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, and Martinique, Caricom, USA, United Kindgom and India.TIC will be open for business-to-business trade only from 10:30 am to 6 pm on Wednesday and 10 am to 6 pm on Thursday and Friday.The trade show will be open on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
