Trinidad Cement Ltd leads trading activity
Overall market activity resulted from trading in nine securities of which three advanced, two declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 694,915 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $9,156,683.79. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 455,377 shares changing hands for a value of $884,471.83, followed by Scotiabank with a volume of 113,314 shares being traded for $7,931,980.00.
Scotia Investments Jamaica contributed 69,392 shares with a value of $142,154.86, while GraceKennedy added 33,692 shares valued at $111,287.60. Unilever Caribbean Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.23 to end the day at $55.25. Conversely, Clico Investment Fund suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.20 to close at $21.30.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 5,300 shares valued at $112,890.00. Clico Investment Fund declined by $0.20 to end at $21.30.
