Guardian Holdings falls $0.40
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which five advanced, two declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 772,676 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,447,305.89.
Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 687,568 shares changing hands for a value of $1,340,307.60, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers with a volume of 30,000 shares being traded for $17,100. Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd contributed 19,924 shares with a value of $40,844.20, while National Enterprises Ltd added 10,500 shares valued at $168,000.
Clico Investment Fund enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.08 to end the day at $21.38. Conversely, Guardian Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.40 to close at $15.50. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 3,554 shares valued at $75,972.12. Clico Investment Fund advanced by $0.08 to end at $21.38. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.41.
The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $14.97.
