NEL falls $0.24 to $15.76
Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities, of which one advanced, three declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 17,262 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $580,967.29. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 10,822 shares changing hands for a value of $21,693.42, followed by Republic Bank Ltd with a volume of 2,537 shares being traded for $279,095.37. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd contributed 1,277 shares with a value of $149,472.85, while Scotiabank T&T Ltd added 1,245 shares valued at $87,133.35.
Trinidad Cement Ltd enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $0.05 to end the day at $2.00. Conversely, National Enterprises Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.24 to close at $15.76. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 57,448 shares valued at $1,223,642.40. Clico Investment Fund declined by $0.08 to end at $21.30. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.41. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $14.97.
