Unilever stocks climb to $55.40
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which five advanced, two declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 450,640 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $6,279,644.13.
GraceKennedy Limited was the volume leader with 200,415 shares changing hands for a value of $661,369.50, followed by Trinidad Cement Limited with a volume of 162,126 shares being traded for $388,483.48. Ansa McAL Limited contributed 67,392 shares with a value of $4,466,741.76, while Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited added 7,100 shares valued at $3,550.
Unilever Caribbean Limited enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.09 to end the day at $55.40. Conversely, Trinidad Cement Limited suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.01 to close at $2.40. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 106,466 shares valued at $2,290,181.66. It advanced by $0.01 to end at $21.51.
