Angostura shares climb to $9.60
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which four advanced, one declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 436,267 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,858,104.77. Trinidad Cement Limited was the volume leader with 361,100 shares changing hands for a value of $703,845, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited with a volume of 40,000 shares being traded for $20,000. Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited contributed 20,000 shares with a value of $40,990.76, while The West Indian Tobacco Company Limited added 3,799 shares valued at $448,279.73. Angostura Holdings Limited enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.09 to end the day at $9.60. Conversely, Trinidad Cement Limited suffered the day's sole decline, falling $0.05 to end the day at $1.95.
