TCL shares increase by $0.13
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which seven advanced, one declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 1,041,780 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $3,012,928.66. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 430,529 shares changing hands for a value of $251,564.82, followed by Trinidad Cement Ltd with a volume of 224,256 shares being traded for $511,001.60.
Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd contributed 208,847 shares with a value of $787,353.19, while GraceKennedy Ltd added 110,000 shares valued at $456,500.
Trinidad Cement Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.13 to end the day at $2.28. Conversely, Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.01 to end the day at $3.77. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 38,404 shares valued at $827,418.16. It advanced by $0.06 to end at $21.55.
