NEL jumps up by $0.90
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which eight advanced, one declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 1,413,862 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $5,865,635.27.
Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd was the volume leader with 1,109,112 shares changing hands for a value of $4,181,352.24, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd with a volume of 142,994 shares being traded for $90,686.22. Trinidad Cement Ltd contributed 47,430 shares with a value of $110,976.20, while National Flour Mills Ltd added 46,848 shares valued at $45,442.56.
National Enterprises Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.90 to end the day at $17.99. Conversely, Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.01 to end the day at $3.77. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 206,616 shares valued at $4,520,071.60. It advanced by $0.38 to end at $21.88.
