Sagicor shares drop to $7.20
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 15 securities of which six advanced, five declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 459,716 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,021,653.09. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited was the volume leader with 313,881 shares changing hands for a value of $220,616.70, followed by Trinidad Cement Limited with a volume of 78,195 shares being traded for $183,758.25. National Enterprises Limited contributed 23,376 shares with a value of $420,300.48, while Sagicor Financial Corporation added 11,000 shares valued at $79,242.95. The West Indian Tobacco Company Limited enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.08 to end the day at $118.20. Conversely, Sagicor Financial Corporation suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.05 to close at $7.20. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 11,449 shares valued at $251,228. It advanced by $0.06 to end at $21.94.
