RBL shares make biggest gain
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which two advanced, three declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 1,087,382 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,104,212.39.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited was the volume leader with 670,000 shares changing hands for a value of $763,500, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited with a volume of 378,295 shares being traded for $276,155.35. First Citizen Bank Limited contributed 16,329 shares with a value of $571,515, while Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited added 10,650 shares valued at $40,150.50.
Republic Bank Limited enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $6.06 to end the day at $117.17. Conversely, Angostura Holdings Limited suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.16 to close at $13.29. The Mutual Fund Market did not record any activity. Clico Investment Fund remained at $21.94.
