Cement company’s shares drop to $2.21
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 18 securities of which five advanced, four declined and nine traded firm.
Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 523,688 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $22,400,488.43. Angostura Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 107,132 shares changing hands for a value of $1,446,282, followed by Republic Bank Ltd with a volume of 101,511 shares being traded for $11,387,162.44. Ansa McAL Ltd contributed 84,465 shares with a value of $5,599,929.50, while First Citizens Bank Ltd added 76,892 shares valued at $2,691,682.10.
Scotiabank T&T Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.42 to end the day at $71.50. Conversely, Trinidad Cement Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.13 to close at $2.21. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 118,748 shares valued at $2,553,160.83. It remained at $21.50.
