Republic Bank shares now worth $112.32
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which two advanced, five declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 92,014 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $731,909.98. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 49,600 shares changing hands for a value of $32,740, followed by Trinidad Cement Ltd with a volume of 15,000 shares being traded for $33,000.
National Flour Mills Ltd contributed 6,000 shares with a value of $5,700, while National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd added 5,333 shares valued at $5,919.63. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.14 to end the day at $112.32. Conversely, Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.05 to close at $0.66. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 26,256 shares valued at $564,504. It remained at $21.50.
