Sagicor trades 14,600 shares
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 15 securities of which five advanced, three declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 65,039 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,291,523.48. Sagicor Financial Corporation was the volume leader with 14,600 shares changing hands for a value of $105,850, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited with a volume of 14,483 shares being traded for $8,979.46.
Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd contributed 11,000 shares with a value of $634,149.78, while First Citizens Bank Ltd added 9,559 shares valued at $336,475. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $1.00 to end the day at $120. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.28 to close at $35.20. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 15,002 shares valued at $323,993.20. It advanced by $0.10 to end at $21.60.
