Overall market activity resulted from trading in nine securities of which two advanced, four declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 299,926 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $5,838,459.08.
Sagicor Financial Corporation was the volume leader with 138,297 shares changing hands for a value of $968,119.80, followed by Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd with a volume of 64,665 shares being traded for $3,827,305.58. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd contributed 39,780 shares with a value of $20,287.80, while Guardian Holdings Ltd added 30,400 shares valued at $418,250.
Clico Investment Fund enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.08 to end the day at $21.63. Conversely, Guardian Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.23 to close at $13.76.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 45,600 shares valued at $986,200. It advanced by $0.08 to end at $21.63.
