Republic Bank shares gain $0.05

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which three advanced, three declined and five traded firm. 

 

 

Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 97,937 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $8,580,350.76. Republic Bank Ltd was the volume leader with 72,006 shares changing hands for a value of $8,328,213.96, followed by Point Lisas port Development Corporation Ltd with a volume of 12,889 shares being traded for $48,083.75. Guardian Holdings Ltd contributed 4,600 shares with a value of $62,100, while National Flour Mills Ltd added 3,400 shares valued at $3,230.

 

Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $115.66. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.68 to close at $36.14. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 631,723 shares valued at $13,708,370.34. It advanced by $0.02 to end at $21.70.
