$6m in TCL shares change hands
Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which one advanced, three declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 2,911,972 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $11,190,973.52. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 2,781,835 shares changing hands for a value of $6,067,912.30, followed by Scotiabank T&T Ltd with a volume of 52,145 shares being traded for $3,781,099.15.
Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 50,000 shares with a value of $350,500, while Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd added 14,967 shares valued at $885,595.39. Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $0.01 to end the day at $59.17. Conversely, Trinidad Cement Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.05 to close at $2.18.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 2,590 shares valued at $56,202.70. It remained at $21.70.
