Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which four advanced, four declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 336,760 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $5,789,810.83.
GraceKennedy Limited was the volume leader with 118,675 shares changing hands for a value of $403,495, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited with a volume of 101,000 shares being traded for $112,110. Scotiabank T&T Limited contributed 53,000 shares with a value of $3,843,030, while Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited added 20,000 shares valued at $74,000.
First Citizens Bank Limited enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.44 to end the day at $37.44. Conversely, GraceKennedy Limited suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.15 to close at $3.40. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 105 shares valued at $2,276.40. It declined by $0.02 to end at $21.68.
