$10.5m in shares change hands
Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which six advanced, zero declined and two traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 168,056 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $10,554,940.33. First Citizens Bank Ltd was the volume leader with 66,219 shares changing hands for a value of $2,516,434.94, followed by The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd with a volume of 43,256 shares being traded for $5,191,987.50.
Scotiabank T&T Ltd contributed 37,748 shares with a value of $2,737,834.96, while National Flour Mills Ltd added 15,000 shares valued at $14,250. First Citizens Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.56 to end the day at $38. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 143,405 shares valued at $3,111,888.50. It advanced by $0.02 to end at $21.70.
