BCB Holdings Limited has informed the Stock Exchange that a director purchased 50,000 shares on December 18, 2013.

 

 

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited – 23.12.13
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited has informed the Stock Exchange that two directors of the company purchased a total of 15,553 shares on December 19, 2013.

 

 

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited – 23.12.13
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited has informed the Stock Exchange that Mrs Sheree Martin has resigned from being a director of NCB Insurance Company Limited effective November 30, 2013.

 

 

GraceKennedy Limited – 23.12.13
GraceKennedy Limited has informed the Stock Exchange that the company repurchased the following stock units under the GraceKennedy Repurchase Programme:
• 70,000 stock units effective December 12, 2013.
• 149,073 stock units effective December 16, 2013
• 163,914 stock units effective December 17, 2013.

 

 

Guardian Media Limited – 18.12.13
Guardian Media Limited has advised the Stock Exchange of the appointment of its Company Secretary, Mr Peter Gomez effective December 17, 2013 and the resignations of the Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary, Mrs Michelle Gonsalves-Suite effective December 20, 2013.

 

 

Guardian Holdings Limited – 13.12.2013
Mr Arthur Lok Jack, Group Chairman of Guardian Holdings Limited (GHL) confirmed that on December 13 the company had voluntarily applied to the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) to have its shares delisted from the JSE pursuant to Rule 411B. The JSE in turn has approved GHL’s request.

 

 

The action by GHL was reached after it undertook a thorough analysis of the costs and benefits of maintaining its dual listing on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange (TTSE) and the JSE. This analysis revealed that, trading activity on the JSE represents less than 1.5 per cent of the overall trading activity in GHL shares.

 

As a result of this voluntary move, GHL closed its register on December 24, 2013 and its shares will be delisted on December 31, 2013. Thereafter, Jamaican investors can continue to trade GHL shares through the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange, where its shares will trade as normal.

 

 

Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE)
On July 11, 2013 the Board of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange (the Exchange) approved the de-listing of BCB Holdings Limited (BCBTT) subsequent to which the Exchange submitted an application to the Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission to have BCBTT delisted. In light of this trading in BCBTT has been suspended with effect from Monday, July 22, 2013.
