JMMB trades 200,000 shares
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which two advanced, two declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 366,706 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,719,776.43. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 200,000 shares changing hands for a value of $102,000, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd with a volume of 102,521 shares being traded for $113,798.31.
Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd contributed 28,109 shares with a value of $42,117.50, while Sagicor Financial Corporation added 13,500 shares valued at $98,550. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.06 to end the day at $116.06. Conversely, Angostura Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.03 to close at $12.44. The Mutual Fund Market did not record any activity. Clico Investment Fund remained at $22.50.
