Overall market activity resulted from trading in 16 securities of which seven advanced, one declined and eight traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 665,802 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $32,615,395.96.
Ansa McAL Ltd was the volume leader with 250,000 shares changing hands for a value of $16,574,981.54, followed by Scotiabank T&T Ltd with a volume of 103,134 shares being traded for $7,539,162.90. National Flour Mills Ltd contributed 103,070 shares with a value of $98,947.20, while First Citizens Bank Ltd added 48,382 shares valued at $2,056,291.23.
Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $1.40 to end the day at $62. Conversely, Angostura Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.01 to end the day at $11.99. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 10,785 shares valued at $242,662.50. It remained at $22.50.
