Over­all mar­ket ac­tiv­i­ty re­sult­ed from trad­ing in 12 se­cu­ri­ties of which five ad­vanced, four de­clined and three trad­ed firm.Trad­ing ac­tiv­i­ty on the first tier mar­ket reg­is­tered a vol­ume of 231,416 shares cross­ing the floor of the Ex­change val­ued at $1,113,717.90.Na­tion­al Com­mer­cial Bank Ja­maica Ltd was the vol­ume leader with 65,000 shares chang­ing hands for a val­ue of $65,030, fol­lowed by GraceKennedy Ltd with a vol­ume of 59,040 shares be­ing trad­ed for $218,448.

Guardian Hold­ings Ltd con­tributed 33,523 shares with a val­ue of $469,221.20, while Ja­maica Mon­ey Mar­ket Bro­kers Ltd added 32,092 shares val­ued at $16,046.Neal and Massy Hold­ings Ltd en­joyed the day's largest gain, in­creas­ing $0.67 to end the day at $63.70.Con­verse­ly, Point Lisas In­dus­tri­al Port De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion Ltd suf­fered the day's great­est loss, falling $0.05 to close at $3.45.
