Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which five advanced, four declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 231,416 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,113,717.90. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd was the volume leader with 65,000 shares changing hands for a value of $65,030, followed by GraceKennedy Ltd with a volume of 59,040 shares being traded for $218,448.
Guardian Holdings Ltd contributed 33,523 shares with a value of $469,221.20, while Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd added 32,092 shares valued at $16,046. Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.67 to end the day at $63.70. Conversely, Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.05 to close at $3.45.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 116,171 shares valued at $2,611,757.56. It advanced by $0.21 to end at $22.48.
