A delegation of 22 T&T business people are on a trade mission to San Jose, the Costa Rican Importers Chamber–better known by its Spanish acronym Crecex–said in a newspaper report. El Financiero said the T&T business people began their mission on Wednesday."A delegation of 22 business people from T&T began this Wednesday a round of meetings with potential Costa Rican trade partners," Crecex said.
On Wednesday and Thursday, members of the T&T mission honoured 170 business appointments, the paper said, adding–for the benefit of Costa Rican businesses–that there was still time for more meetings with persons interested in trading or importing T&T goods. The T&T business people represented companies from a wide range of sectors, including personal care, health and beauty, chemicals, insecticides, foods, and office furniture.
This is the third Crecex-promoted rapprochement to T&T, Crecex said. The first was a virtual visit in 2011, which came after a governmental mission to gather trade data in 2012.Crecex executive director Katherine Chaves: "This year, the efforts from the previous visits are materialising."
