First Citizens falls to $38.48
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which three advanced, three declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 272,268 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $4,016,257.50. Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd was the volume leader with 129,662 shares changing hands for a value of $200,195.86, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd with a volume of 59,456 shares being traded for $68,374.40.
Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd contributed 48,601 shares with a value of $3,219,816.25, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 9,476 shares valued at $19,615.32. Scotiabank T&T Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.28 to end the day at $72.53. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.44 to close at $38.48. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 71,522 shares valued at $1,538,177.10.
It declined by $0.07 to end at $21.51.
