Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which five advanced, one declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 33,070 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $822,295.59. GraceKennedy Ltd was the volume leader with 9,295 shares changing hands for a value of $33,926.75, followed by Sagicor Financial Corporation with a volume of 5,952 shares being traded for $44,342.40.
Ansa McAL Ltd contributed 5,000 shares with a value of $332,500, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 3,779 shares valued at $7,935.90. GraceKennedy Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.12 to end the day at $3.65. Conversely, Sagicor Financial Corporation suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.05 to end the day at $7.45.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 205 shares valued at $4,415.70. It remained at $21.54.
