New campaign from Consumer Affairs Division
Renewed, rebranded and empowered, the Consumer Affairs Division of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment will launch a nationwide awareness campaign today. The campaign, which features the new tagline Putting The Power On Your Side, seeks to inform consumers of their rights and responsibilities and the role of the Consumer Affairs Division in educating, protecting and empowering consumers.
As a part of the overall awareness thrust, the Division will host three Mall Outreach Exhibitions from 10 am – 6 pm at Trincity Mall today, Long Circular Mall on Friday and Gulf City Mall on Saturday. At these exhibitions, which are open to the public, consumer affairs advocates will provide information on rights and responsibilities and address consumer related issues.
These activities are taking place ahead of World Consumer Rights Day which will be celebrated on Saturday. It is an opportunity for promoting the basic rights of all consumers, demanding that those rights are respected and protected.
