Huang Xingyuan, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to T&T, recently hosted a dinner at the Embassy on Alexandra Street, Port-of-Spain, for the business delegation that accompanied Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on her official state visit to China in February.
In delivering brief remarks, Ambassador Huang affirmed that "the State visit to the People's Republic of China was a success and has opened great trade and economic opportunities, which is indeed evident by the numerous phone calls and letters from potential Chinese business investors."
Trade Minister Vasant Bharath expressed gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the Government for the sincere hospitality extended to the T&T delegation."Trinidad and Tobago is on the cusp of huge success, and strongly believes that the recent state visit will produce results both economically and diplomatically and there is much to gain mutually from this relationship for both countries," he said.
