Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which two advanced, three declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 38,001 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $649,646.37. Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd was the volume leader with 15,067 shares changing hands for a value of $23,956.53, followed by First Citizens Bank Ltd being traded for $366,293.19.
Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 5,957 shares with a value of $43,486.10, while Guardian Holdings Ltd added 3,000 shares valued at $43,410. Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.06 to end the day at $1.59. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.25 to close at $37.40. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 146,580 shares valued at $3,173,881. It remained at $21.65.
