Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which two advanced, three declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 293,689 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $547,453.85. Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 261,044 shares changing hands for a value of $117,469.80, followed by National Flour Mills Ltd with a volume of 10,000 shares being traded for $11,700.
Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd contributed 5,005 shares with a value of $7,957.95, while Prestige Holdings Ltd added 5,000 shares valued at $46,500. Clico Investment Fund enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $21.72. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Limited suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.42 to close at $36.98.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 10,444 shares valued at $226,888.81. It advanced by $0.05 to end at $21.72.
