Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which three advanced, two declined and eight traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 532,521 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $5,888,330.76.
Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 230,942 shares changing hands for a value of $122,179.26, followed by National Flour Mills Ltd with a volume of 172,504 shares being traded for $215,574. First Citizens Bank Ltd contributed 88,671 shares with a value of $3,223,210.85, while The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd added 17,501 shares valued at $2,065,118.00.
Clico Investment Fund enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.08 to end the day at $21.76. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Limited suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.04 to close at $36.35. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 70,814 shares valued at $1,540,905.36. It advanced by $0.08 to end at $21.76.
