Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which six advanced, three declined and one traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 115,582 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $5,534,605.03. First Citizens Bank Ltd was the volume leader with 76,634 shares changing hands for a value of $2,604,718.68.
Trinidad Cement Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.13 to end the day at $2.20. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.01 to close at $33.99. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 4,680 shares valued at $101,464.40. It advanced by $0.04 to end at $21.68.
