Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities, of which three advanced, four declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 142,563 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $3,076,655.60. Guardian Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 35,736 shares changing hands for a value of $473,553.60, followed by Sagicor Financial Corporation with a volume of 29,460 shares being traded for $206,220.00.
Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd contributed 25,910 shares with a value of $13,991.40, while First Citizens Bank Ltd added 18,357 shares valued at $624,445.77. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.06 to end the day at $120.31. Conversely, FirstCaribbean International Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.25 to close at $5.50.
Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 196,455 shares valued at $4,225,776.33. Clico Investment Fund declined by $0.07 to end at $21.51. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.41. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $14.97.
