Resignation:
Guardian Holdings Ltd (GHL) chairman Arthur Lok Jack on Wednesday announced that Jeffrey Mack had resigned from the board of the financial services company with effect from April 4. Mack's resignation followed his retirement as GHL's chief executive on December 31.He served as a GHL director since his appointment in 2009 and also served as a member of the GHL risk and compliance and enterprise investment committees as well as on several boards of subsidiaries of the group.

GHL also announced the appointment of Maxim Rochester BSc (accounting) Hons FCA, FCCA, as a director to the Board of Guardian Holdings Ltd effective April 4.Rochester, a citizen and resident of Jamaica, has served as a board member of Guardian Life Ltd, Guardian Group's Life Health and Pensions subsidiary in Jamaica, since 2012.
He is a former Territory Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Jamaica, where he was responsible for the quality and delivery of audit of the financial statements of several companies, and brings with him invaluable expertise and experience in dealing with international and major domestic corporations and financial institutions.
Rochester was appointed to the GHL board to fill a casual vacancy created by the resignation of Jeffrey Mack and will serve until the annual meeting following this appointment, at which time he will be eligible for re-appointment.Also, Richard Espinet, the president of GHL's Caribbean property and casualty line of business, has also been appointed as a director on the GHL board effective March 21.
Espinet is currently the CEO of Guardian General Insurance Ltd, an appointment he assumed on March 8, 2005.He has served as a board member of the property and casualty subsidiaries of Guardian Group since 2005.He was appointed to the GHL Board to fill a casual vacancy, until the annual meeting following this appointment, at which time he will be eligible for re-appointment.
