Overall market activity resulted from trading in 16 securities of which six advanced, one declined and nine traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 125,502 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,050,798.68. Sagicor Financial Corporation was the volume leader with 51,174 shares changing hands for a value of $358,950.13, followed by Angostura Holding Ltd with a volume of 29,862 shares being traded for $328,482.00. Williams LJB contributed 13,650 shares with a value of $12,285.00, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 12,126 shares valued at $26,677.20.
First Citizens Bank enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.26 to end the day at $34.34. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Ltd suffered the day's sole decline, falling $0.97 to end the day at $70.02. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 39,722 shares valued at $854,883.94. Clico Investment Fund advanced by $0.01 to end at $21.52. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.41.
The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $14.97.
